Well hi guys,

Around 1:00pm today I deleted my facebook account.... :o

Shocking I know, a teenage girl living in the world where mobile phones are a necessity, youtube is the 2nd biggest search engine, formspring is the new way to show you hate someone anonymously, tweeting is the way to help celebs get more attention and of course the biggest is facebook, the social networking site where you can publish your whole life to the world.

I had the sudden realisation that I was telling around 400 people pointless things like 'off to brighton with the girls' or 'finally finished my essay'. I really don't think that, that many people really care about my life that much that they need to know what I was doing every second of my day. Posting pictures is another thing blurred photos of me and my friends mucking around, yes im sure they would get some laughs from people who knew me quite well but over half my facebook friends wouldnt think twice about looking in my album full of a load of webcam photos or dressing up to look like total idiots. Well unless I was being facebook stalked, which I am pretty sure that everyone has stalked that hot guy who they really liked and gone though their profile pictures a few times or randomly hating that girl who he was always wall posting. I think facebook kind of came an obsession without me realizing, having an app on my phone made it worse, i was carrying  facebook around with my everywhere where I went.

And the crazy thing is it took 10 minuets for my friend to text me saying 'HAVE YOU DELETED YOU FACEBOOK ACCOUNT????' someone else said to me 'But now you cant stalk ****** and *******!!! and i look like a twat talking to myself on my status, and you cant put up those photos from last night!' and then she said ' i find it scary how you would have no pics and no contact with people whos number you dont have'

I'm hoping that my life minus facebook will make me realize who my real friends are and see how much I can actually do in the time which I would have spent on facebook XD <3 xxxx
